Atonement was in summer of 2006, when Redcar beach became wartime Dunkirk in the silver screen adaptation of Ian McEwan’s 2001 novel Atonement. The film went on to win two Golden Globes, an Oscar and two Baftas. For the excited extras who converged on Redcar, it was an experience they will never forget.
This featured photographic print will be changed on a regular basis.
